This research aims to identify the historical roots of semantics because of their importance and close connection in the life of society, as the human being is a semantic linguistic being who builds the world through discourse, and this discourse is not achieved without significance.

It is divided into two sections; The first topic: a theoretical epistemological introduction, dealing with the importance of the Arabic language, knowing the historical depth of semantics and the interest of ancient and modern scholars in this science, as it is the basis for revealing the meaning.

The second topic / cognitive topics in the semantic lesson; Topics of semantics, and then the relationship of semantics with other sciences, and semantics in the linguistic / Quranic / hadith lesson.
