Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify the measurement of the level of social skills among the students of the University of Mosul and to identify the most common skill among social skills and to identify the statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) in the level of social skills among the students of the University of Mosul according to the variable of gender and to identify the statistically significant differences at Level (0.05) in the level of social skills among Mosul University students according to the type of specialization variable.

The basic research sample consisted of (740) male and female students who were chosen by random stratified proportional method from the third grade of the faculties of the University of Mosul for the year (2021-2022), and to achieve the objectives of the research, the scale has been built to measure social skills, whose number reached (53) paragraphs distributed over six areas.

After applying the two scales, the data extracted from the answers of the members of the research sample were processed statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program.

The results showed that the third-grade students from the colleges of the University of Mosul have an appropriate level of social skills, and according to the classification of these skills, it was found that the skill of emotional sensitivity was the dominant skill among students, as well as convergence in the level of possession of other skills, and the levels of possession of social skills were equal among students and their scientific and human achievement.

A statistically significant difference in the level of social skills among the sample members according to the gender variable and the absence of a statistically significant difference in social skills among third-grade students from the colleges of the University of Mosul according to the type of specialization variable.
