Abstract EN

The aim of the current research is to identify : Perfectionistic thinking among university students according to the variables of gender and specialization.

In order to achieve the goal of the current researc it was necessary to have a tool to measure perfectionistic thinking.

so the (Baza 1999) scale was adopted to identify perfective thinking, and after checking the psychometric properties of the research scale.

it was applied to the basic research sample of (400) male and female students who were selected.

The stratified random method with proportional distribution.

as choosing the sample in this way makes it more representative of the original research community, and after analyzing the data statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), the results came up with the following, The university students have an average level of perfectionistic thinking.

There are no statistically significant differences in perfectionistic thinking according to the gender variable.

There are statistically significant differences in perfectionistic thinking according to the specialization variable(Scientific- Humanitarian) and for the benefit of the scientific.
