Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify: Straight thinking among the students of the History Department at the College of Education- Al- Mustansiriya University.The correlation between straight thinking and academic achievement among students of the History Department at the College of Education - Al-Mustansiriya University.

The current research community consists of the students of the History Department at the College of Education -Al-Mustansiriya University for the academic year (2021/2022) and for the morning study only, and their number is (429)male and female students.

at a rate of (195) male and female students (45%) and (234) female students at a rate of (54.5%) divided into four stages.

The researcher adopted the descriptive(relational)approach as a method for her study.

The researcher adopted astraight thinking scale consisting of (31) paragraphs.

The weights of the answer and the test score were (1) the paragraph that indicates straight thinking and (zero) for the alternative.

Which does not measure straight thinking, and the sample of statistical analysis for both scales reached (200) male and female students.

and the apparent validity of the test was verified by presenting it to a group of arbitrators and specialists.

The research reached the following results: There is a correlation between straight thinking and academic achievement.

University students enjoy a level of straight thinking.
