The study of the demographic characteristics of the family constitutes a qualitative importance within the framework of studies related to the problem of deprivation in general, and deprivation of education in particular, as the sex composition of heads of families is one of the most important characteristics of the family affecting its behavior and trends in various fields, The results of the field study showed a direct relationship between the sex composition of the heads of families and the problem of deprivation of education, as the percentage of families headed by a man in the city of Samawah reached (83.1%), while the percentage of those deprived of education reached (29.2%), and the percentage of families headed by them reached A woman in the study area (16.9%), while the study showed a clear increase in deprivation rates for this segment of families, reaching (46.9%).
