This research is based on the study of one of the meta-narrative representations in the postmodern contemporary Iraqi novel, which is based on the meta-narrative method of presenting events; This form presents and discusses the fictional works of an imaginary character or a discussion of the real works of different novelists by submitting subjective critical opinions from these texts, and some novelists are not limited to the practice of their criticism on texts only, but some discuss reality and pose its problems, but without developing solutions to get out of the These problems.

The research consists of a theoretical introduction, followed by a study of three contemporary Iraqi novels, followed by a conclusion of the most important findings, and a list of sources and references.
