لعب وليد جنبلاط دورا بارزا على الساحة السياسية اللبنانية منذ دخوله المعترك السياسي عام 1977 إذ وقف إلى جانب منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية في جميع فترات الحرب الاهلية اللبنانية 1977-1990، دخل وليد جنبلاط المعترك السياسي بعد اغتيال والده وأصبح رئيسا للحزب التقدمي الاشتراكي وزعيما للحركة الوطنية في لبنان، كان لجنبلاط دور واضح في جميع المواقف السياسية ولاسيما في مؤتمري الحوار الوطني (جنيف و لوزان)، إذ طالب جنبلاط في مؤتمر جنيف بإلغاء اتفاق 17 أيار، وأصر على هذا الطلب، وتحقق مطلبه بإلغاء الاتفاق، شارك في مؤتمر لوزان وطالب بإلغاء الطائفية السياسية، بالرغم من انعقاد المؤتمري إلا أنهما فشلا في إيجاد الحل النهائي للأزمة اللبنانية، ولن يحصد وليد جنبلاط سوى تشكيل حكومة وطنية بمشاركة بيار الجميل وكميل شمعون وسليم الحص وعادل عسيران، وصائب سلام، وريمون أدة.
Abstract EN
Walid Jumblatt played a prominent role on the Lebanese political scene since his entry into the political fray in 1977, as he stood by the Palestine Liberation Organization in all periods of the Lebanese civil war 1977-1990.
Jumblatt had a clear role in all political situations, especially in the two national dialogue conferences (Geneva and Lausanne).
Despite the convening of the conference, they failed to find a final solution to the Lebanese crisis, and Walid Jumblatt will only achieve the formation of a national government with the participation of Pierre Gemayel, Camille Chamoun, Salim al-Hoss, Adel Oseiran, Saeb Salam and Raymond Edda.
