Abstract EN

This study deals with the presence of the Albanian community in Egypt, and sheds light on the cultural and political activities it carried out as one of the most important centers of the Albanian presence around the world.

these activities played an important role in supporting the Albanian national renaissance movement, which began in Alexandria with the issuance of “theme mitko” in 1878 AD.

for the book “the Albanian bee”, which was the spark that crystallized its intellectual, political and military dimensions in the second half of the nineteenth century, until Albania’s independence from the ottoman authority in 1912 AD.

there were many aspects of these cultural and political efforts, which were represented in the establishment of several Albanian societies and associations, the establishment of Albanian newspapers, Albanian schools, as well as the contribution of the Albanians of Egypt in developing a unified alphabet for the Albanian language.

on the other hand, the researcher shed light on the monuments and buildings left behind by the Albanians in Egypt.

such as Soliman al-Khadim mosque, the Sinan Pasha mosque, and the Albanian Bektashi at the foot of Mokattam.

in conclusion, the researcher presented a proposal to stimulate Albanian tourism coming to Egypt.
