Abstract EN

This research deals with Paolo Virno’s contribution in revealing the political connotations of language, based on the fact that language expresses the conditions of possibility in which our experiences are realized, from a transcendental and a biological point of view.

Virno considers language as an “act” reveals itself to become an intrinsically political practice mediating between biological invariants and historical determinations.

given his understanding of language and its relationship to human nature, the research tries to discover the role that language plays in the formation of our view on the world and how philosophical problems related to the nature of language affect and inform our moral and political attitudes and positions.

the research is divided into six sections: the first presents the dimensions of Virno’s political philosophy, the second focuses on the essence of language, the third focuses on the conjugative relationship between language and politics, the fourth reveals speech acts as a political practice, the fifth deals with the features of the road towards the ideal politics, and the sixth section presents an evaluative view of Virno's philosophy in terms of the relationship between language and moral and political responsibilities.
