Parliamentary oversight is one of the democratic forms in the parliamentary system, and the legislative council is empowered to determine the status and activity of the executive authority, and the legislative authority is the one that legislates laws and represents the people who elected them, and ensures the implementation of laws in the manner approved by law, the legislative authority monitors the executive authority on behalf of the people through several means: parliamentary questioning, investigation, interrogation, and no confidence, and between the basic law and the rules of procedure of the legislative council, the mechanism and procedures of each means separately, so that members of the council can use it in the form parliamentary oversight may lead to a vote of no confidence in the government and its resignation, or the individual accountability of the minister and resignation, or perhaps the amendment of an existing law.
