The constitutional amendment of 2020 introduced several revisions that affected the provisions related to the institution of parliament.

the aim of these amendments is to activate the role of parliament to exercise its legislative and oversight jurisdiction.

the most important of them is the freedom of the parliamentary initiative from numerical restrictions and the addition of new areas in which parliament legislates with laws, such as the field of public transactions, as well as activating the interrogation mechanism as a means.

oversight raises the responsibility of the government.

these amendments also aim to establish the principle of rotation or rotation of power by controlling parliamentary appointments with only two appointments, giving value to legislative elections, and linking them to the selection of the supervisor of the government staff.
