The family is a fundamental starting point for building society across its various segments.

in order to preserve this concept, the Arab charter on human rights 2004 was introduced as a mechanism to safeguard the foundations of the family and protect it from various negative behaviors that may hinder the achievement of its intended goals.

this research study aims to introduce the charter, explore its emergence and contents, and review the significant measures it adopted to protect and preserve the family.

the study concludes that the charter focuses on protecting the family by preserving the civil and political rights and freedoms of individuals within society.
