Transformation is a social and cultural requirement linked to the life of a person who seeks a permanent search for an alternative that is compatible with his emerging needs and requirements.

among the transformations that human thought witnessed was the transformation from the old to the new, which resulted in the transition from one literary direction to another.

if we return to our ancient Arabic poetry, we notice that many literary trends coexisted with each other, even if one prevailed over the other according to the nature of the era, environment, and culture.

our goal in this study is not to talk about these trends in Arabic poetry from the pre-Islamic era until the modern era, with all the details and details.

rather, we seek to trace the path of the transformation movement in Arabic poetry from the sentimental tendency to the Western romantic doctrine and the intersection between them.
