Abstract EN

This study discusses the gap in the application of distance learning between low-income and high-income countries that has been reflected within the economic and human dimensions, especially since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and the adoption of closure policies by states, distance learning has been adopted as a means of sustaining the process.

this study therefore aims to discuss the disparity between and across countries within the higher education sector.

the study concluded that distance learning can be a valid and useful approach, especially in the tertiary sector, but requires investments in infrastructure, especially in low-income states, as well as an assessment of a curriculum to support teaching staff, especially since the loss of educational effectiveness has significant losses that are slowly emerging.
