Abstract EN

The language of communication for an individual, society, or country is no longer one.

rather, due to factors and circumstances, it has become more than one language, and this is what resulted in a phenomenon called bilingualism, both internally and externally.

Algeria is among the countries that have coexisted and to this day still coexist with it in a way or another.

this phenomenon had positive and negative aspects on the results of academic achievement, so the most prominent endeavors of this study were to identify the linguistic phenomenon and reveal its impact on the linguistic reality in general and academic achievement in particular.

the importance of this study is that it revealed several aspects of a linguistic phenomenon that is no less important than all cognitive issues today, and it presented suggestions and solutions that would serve language and education.
