This scientific paper aims to investigate the dystopia of the intellectual epidemic in the novel “the mixing of seasons or the great murder banquet” by Bashir Mufti, in order to uncover them (dystopia and the intellectual epidemic), and their meanings.

the goal is to expose the Algerian reality during the dark decade, which was floundering in its outdated ideas that led to the collapse of morality and the prevalence of killing and death.
