The study of substance and energy in contemporary physics has received special attention from physicists and philosophers of science, as the subject cannot be purely physical or purely philosophical, but rather it is shared by both science and physics.

our article dealt with the epistemology of quantum physics in terms of the development of its view of substance from the contemporary atomic view to the view of quanta, and the transformation that occurred within the framework of wave mechanics and quantum mechanics and how science, in light of philosophical epistemological criticism, knows a continuous development and renewal in its theories and how this renewal is considered a revolution on ancient one, specifically deterministic classical Newtonian physics.
