Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify the impact of self-esteem on organizational commitment among primary education directors.

the study sample included (92) directors who were selected randomly from primary education institutions in the province of Relizane.

we adopted the descriptive analytical method and applied a scale of organizational commitment to (Meyer & Allen et Smith, 1993) with three dimensions (emotional dimension, continuance dimension, and normative dimension) and Salama & al.’s self-esteem scale (N,D).after statistical processing of the data using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS 20), the results were as follows: - there is an impact of self-esteem on the organizational commitment of primary education directors - the level of organizational commitment (total score) and its two dimensions (normative dimension, continuity dimension) are average, while the emotional dimension is a high level.

- there are no statistically significant differences in the organizational commitment of primary education directors due to the variables of age, professional experience, and academic qualification.
