Maghrebi societies, in general, and particularly Tunisian one, still hold a significant amount of our popular culture, which has increasingly accumulated a tremendous number of principles, values, wisdom, and traditions of remarkable richness and diversity.

thus, given its persistent existence inside each one of us as major part of our memories, it would be unfair to disregard its influence on our society despite the highly sophisticated and rooted degree of development it has reached.

it trusty to note that whenever we engage in a retrospective cultural experience through the linguistic, auditory, or visual arts, this effect becomes much more evident.

it is in this context that the present research work lies to explore the popular writer's art, which is well-known in some regions of Tunisia for its popular lyrics and poetry writing.

it is an extremely ancient cultural heritage that represents one of the torrents that feed public imagination with a variety of epistemological formulations, ideals, values, and popular symbols.

the restoration of this heritage is the interest of the writer (singing poet) aiming to establish the foundation for the mental picture of man and the world that is created by imagination.

al-Malzoumeh is an expressive medium capable of emitting a balance of meanings and values that allows this art to exist and become a part of the collective and individual social and cultural imagination.

as confirmed by contemporary philosophers, it contributes to make the imagination capable of formulating dynamic perceptions with a future serving as an everlasting memory depository.

our research work on the imagination and the fantasy of epic values through “al-Malzouma” of “al-Moualim” by Adeeb Ali al-Aswad (from the south of Tunisia) is likely to contribute to shedding light on the representations of the popular imagination in the Tunisian song.
