The period of the sixties of the last century formed a detailed stage in the history of the Arabic novel, as it is a period of political, social, and economic, and the 1967 defeat and the catastrophic consequences followed by a decisive turning point, so that the social and cultural climate is satisfied with the smell of defeat, and this in turn was reflected in the literary scene in general and the narrative in the face in particular, the writers monitored the reality with a broken sense and the tendencies of frustration, despair and oppression, and a pure Bahaa one of these, his fictional creations came to confirm its affiliation with a different sensitivity, through which he founded the features of his experience within the current of fiscal writing, and the defeated hero is among the most important features of this current, and because the novel (East al-Nakheel) represents a rich model of the fierce novel.
