قضايا في علم اللسان العربي عند الفارابي: دراسة تحليلية نقدية لبعض النصوص

Abstract EN

This study comes as an attempt to discuss two basic issues in al Farabi’s texts: 1- the issue of establishing the term “linguistics”, defining its concept and dividing its topics, 2- the issue of the conditions for eloquent linguistic listening and its most important tribes.

the sample of the study was the books “Ihsa’e Aloloum” and “al-Hurof”, and among the results reached: that al-Farabi was the first to coin the term “the science of language” and tried to define its subject.

he derived much of his linguistic knowledge from the environment of Arab linguists and grammarians.

he is the oldest Islamic philosopher who made a significant contribution to the science of Arabic linguistics by arranging some linguistic issues in a logical order that had never been done before.
