Our research aims to reveal the relationship between the motives of using social networking sites and the terminal values.

to investigate this problem, we conducted a field research on a sample of university students consisting of 540 students, at the level of different faculties in Algiers, with a theoretical framework for the uses and gratifications approach.

we found a relationship between motives for using social networking sites and groups of final values, and between individual motives with groups of terminal values, and the existence of a difference about motives between males and females.
