The child is exposed to many social situations that require him to respond appropriately، and some of these situations may have clear intentions، while some may have weak or hidden intentions.

The current research came in an attempt to reveal the nature of this understanding among Iraqi children.Children's understanding of ulterior motives for socially desirable behavior according to my two variables: age (6،7،8) years، gender (male، female)، The significance of statistically significant differences in children for socially ulterior motives، Age (6،7،8)years، Gender (male، female)، The current Study sample (200) boys and girls for ages (6،7،8) years، with (40) children for each age، distributed equally by (20) males and (20) females.

The Study prepared a tool for children's understanding of the hidden motives for socially desirable behavior by adding some stories on the Heyman et al.

tool(Heymman،et al،2014) Which included groups of stories with two stories for each group.

The Study verified the validity of the tool through apparent honesty and extracting the discriminatory power of the questions and the relationship of the degree of questions with the total degree of the tool.

The Study also verified the stability of the tool by using the Facronbach equation، and the reliability coefficient reached (.،92)، Children start to have ulterior motives for social preservation at the age of (8) years، There is no effect of the gender variable in the children for the ulterior motives of the children's social behavior، Children's understanding of the ulterior motives of behavior develops socially.
