How was the Islamic world able to build a civilization that lasted for nearly thirteen centuries and achieved a comprehensive renaissance and scientific and intellectual progress that benefited the West and humanity in general? What are the material means that helped spread this civilizational renaissance, and what are the main sources of funding that authorized him to spread this huge geographical expansion in a short period of time? The answer cannot be in isolation from the role played by the two main institutions in Islamic history, the institutions of Zakat and the Waqf.

This research is an attempt to explore the aspects of the economic and developmental miracles of the endowment and analyze some of the prominent meanings in it, which are represented in: (1) combining saving, investment and distribution together in one process and its repercussions on the development process and (2) achieving the concept of sustainable development that takes into account the right of subsequent generations to wealth Preserving the environment, which contemporary development thought has only recently noticed, (3) establishing the concept of social and solidarity economy and proving its role in achieving comprehensive development, (4) supporting spending and redistributing wealth in society, and (5) finally combining the triad of physical capital and the Human capital and social capital, which have become a necessary and indispensable base for the success of .development in today's world.
