تركز هذه المساهمة على الإسناد المجهول لأسماء الشخصيات في رواية "فضل الليل على النهار" لياسمنة خضرا إن اختيار أسماء الأعلام، وإن بدا بسيطا، وغير ذي أهمية، إلا أن الأمر ليس كذلك، فالتسمية في الرواية مدروسة بعناية شديدة.
واختيار أسماء الأعلام المركبة يحمل دلالات عميقة لا تظهر للوهلة الأولى، إن اختيار اسم الشخصية لا يقتصر على الإحالة البسيطة لصاحبه، بل إنه يتجاوز هذه الوظيفة الأساسية ليصبح ذا حمولة دلالية، ووعاء لثقافة ما.
من خلال هذه المقال سنحاول إظهار الروابط البينية الموجودة بين الشخصيات والأسماء المختارة لها، لنتساءل عما تريد أسماء الأعلام التأكيد عليه، وهل هي انعكاس للشخصيات، أم أن تلك الشخصيات تحمل أسماء ذات معان مضادة لطبيعتها؟
Abstract EN
Our reflection concerns the onomastic attribution of the characters in “what the day owes to the night” by Yasmina Khadra.
the proper name is not as simple and innocuous as it seems to be.
the romantic denominational act is well thought out.
the proper name conveys much more than we might think, and it is no longer limited to the simple act of naming.
it transcends its primary function.
at present, the proper name is a vector of messages and becomes a receptacle of a culture.
through our study, we will attempt to demonstrate the interstitial links that exist between the characters and the names given to them.
what do proper names emphasize? are they the same as the characters, or are they the opposite of what their surnames convey?

Cet article porte sur l'attribution onomastique des personnages de «ce que le jour doit à la nuit» de Yasmina Khadra.
le nom propre, aussi simple et anodin qu'il semble l'être, ne l'est pas.
L'acte dénominatif romanesque est bien pensé.
le nom propre véhicule bien plus qu'on pourrait le concevoir, et ne se limite plus au simple fait de nommer.
il transcende sa fonction première.
a présent, le nom propre est vecteur de symbolique et devient un réceptacle d’une culture.
a travers notre étude, nous tenterons de démontrer les liens interstitiels existants entre les personnages et les noms qu'on leur a conférés.
que soulignent les noms propres? sont-ils à l'image des personnages ou sont-ils à l'opposé de ce que leurs patronymes véhiculent?
