Abstract EN

Praise to Allah, Sharh al-Sunnah of Imam al-Hussain al-Baghawi is considered one of the sources of al-Hadith al-Hacen.

this study aims to understand what Imam al-Baghawi meant with “Hadith Hacen” in his book and on which bases he relied to judge a Hadith as Hacen and the value (degree) of his judgments.

the study revealed that the definition of al-Hadith al-Hacen according to Imam al-Baghawi agrees with what is known in the books of hadith terminology and the extent to which al-Baghawi benefited from the book of al-Tirmidhi al-Jami’-except for a very few number of hadiths and hence it became clear that Sharh al-Sunnah is one of the secondary sources of al-Hadith al-Hacen.
