Abstract EN

History is the names of many Islamic scholars, who served science, and had a role in the nation's elevation, among them the allama Ali Al-Nuri Al-Saffaq, the author of many books on arts, the Sheikh, such as readings, doctrine, jurisprudence, and others.

This research aims to introduce the Sfaxian mark, and to explain his scientific efforts, and it consists of an introduction and three sections, the first : to introduce Sfaxi and his era, the second : his upbringing, his travels, and his request for knowledge, and the third : his scientific status, the praise of scientists for him and his scientific effects, followed by a conclusion and an index of sources and references.

The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach, and one of the most important results of it : that the name of the scholar Sheikh Ali Al-Nouri is (Ali bin Salem bin Muhammad bin Salem bin Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Nouri Al- Safaqi) contrary to what is in some of his translation sources.

And that his death, may God have mercy on him, was on Friday the twelfth of Rabi' al-Awwal in the year 1118 AH, corresponding to the twenty-fifth of the sixth month in 1706 CE, contrary to what is in some sources and that he, may God have mercy on him, was not only a scholar, but was an educator, a spender and a jihadist.
