Abstract EN

This study dealt with the tax system that prevailed in the ancient state of Egypt during the Roman era, which was not matched by any tax system in any government of the ancient era in terms of its complexity, as it imposed on Egypt the number of taxes.

The additional fees came in the importance of the study in highlighting the discrepancy in the value of taxes imposed on the individual, land, services, sales, transportation, movement of goods and real and personal property, in addition to tracking and collecting information on what was mentioned about taxes with their different names in various parts of Egypt in this era.

Individuals, especially farmers, among them, who have suffered greatly from the taxes imposed on them and are waiting for opportunities to get rid of this domination once and for all because of the taxes that have burdened them.
