Anthropology through field research contributed to the study of social heritage and the clarification of its symbolism engraved in the social imagination, this symbolism that defined the features of the difference on the level of gender and gender identity and unveiled the foundations of the lifestyle within the social milieu, And dress as one of the sources of material heritage is considered one of the determinants that establish the concept of identity in its image (subjective, social and cultural), and considering clothing as a carrier of identity, it is a communication and communication tool through its symbolism and values that it reflects among its wearers (male and female), Which allows for a saturated social life through different reasons represented in (interaction, affiliation and privacy, adornment, adornment and other sources that reflect an aspect of the expression of the dress about the identity of the individual).

This research paper attempts to shed light on the symbolism of the traditional Algerian dress for its wearer (women and men) in the current community, by answering the following question: Did the current individual representations of his culture contribute to his preference for a certain style of dress, especially the traditional one?
