Abstract EN

The current research is concerned with (studying the local tendency and its representations in the drawings of (Fadhel Toama), as the study dealt with the definition of the concept of tendency in art and how it appeared in Europe in the late nineteenth century and was advocated by a class of intellectuals.

And practice, and evaluation, artistic trends and tendencies are in themselves the result of research and discovery.

The tendency in art emerged as a result of objective circumstances that the artist touched with his sensitive sense and his emotions towards those conditions, which made its reflection on the human in all activities and events, including the arts, and this was done based on artistic references, books and their role.

In defining the concept of tendency and its impact on art in general and the art of Iraqi painting (in particular), and the artistic productions of Karbala artists, .including (Fadhel Toama) The research consisted of four chapters.

The first chapter was devoted to explaining the research problem, its importance, the need for it and its objective, in addition to its objective limits, which were determined by (the local tendency and its representations in the drawings of Fadhel Toama), the temporal for the completed drawings from (AD), the spatial (Iraq-Karbala) and the definition of terms.

contained in it, where the research problem dealt with the topic of the local tendency of man, who was often affected by his environment and localities, and since the beginning of creation; As the artist dealt with nature and reformulated it to give it his intellectual and aesthetic concepts, and that was the connection with the earth and the sky and through the materials available to him, and with myths and religious teachings, as he dealt with what is above nature, appealing to immortality and survival.

And over the ages and the developments that took place on the Iraqi environment, which was and still is a source of inspiration for many artists, which made the continuous artistic communication pursued by the Iraqi painter, despite the successive and continuous events that passed through Iraq, made him a creative creator that has perpetuated and developed his artistic approach, and established the adoption of The roots of the environment and its extensions are a founding factor for his creative and creative thought in the production of his artworks, and Karbala is one of the most important Iraqi cities that has proven its creative ranges through the plastic movement in it, while the second chapter is organized on the theoretical framework and on three sections.

While the second topic studied (the impact of local tendency in the Iraqi formation), while the third topic was entitled (the local heritage and its work in the works of Fadhel Toama), and the third chapter was concerned with the research procedures, where the research community included the available technical models and three models were chosen for the research sample and were followed The descriptive approach in business analysis.

In the research tool, the researchers relied on the indicators of the theoretical framework in analyzing the sample, and then the fourth .chapter reviews the results, conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.
