Abstract EN

The current research is concerned with studying the semantics of the symbol in the drawings of Saadi Al-Kaabi, and the aim of the current research included identifying (the semantics of the symbol in the drawings of Saadi Al-Kaabi).

As for the theoretical framework, it included two sections, the first (contains two axes, the first is the concept of significance and the second axis is symbolic philosophically) and the second (contemporary Iraqi art).

The research ended with: a number of results and conclusions, the most important of which were: -The artistic works combined the concept of the body as outputs and readings that have several axes, some of which are symbolic, and others that have deep connotations and meanings.

-The concept of the body and its connotations constitute a scene of anxiety and pain, which is represented by the reflections of pain, pain and unhappiness as a hidden subconscious of the Arab and Iraqi person, in particular, in an abstract and symbolic way.

Conclusions hope: -The artist contributed, through his style, to liberation from methodological and situational restrictions that could limit the artist's expressive ability.

-The works of the artist Saadi Al-Kaabi contained several aspects of psychological, philosophical and historical concepts.
