Abstract EN

This study dealt with the Russian strategy driven by former soviet glories, which seeks to bring about a change in the international balance of power, and thus create a new nature of the global system, based on the foundations and rules of multipolarity, in which the Russian federation has a pivotal and effective role, the results of the study showed that Russia was able to build a strong huge economic and military, which enabled it to move with soft and hard tools, in different geographic regions around the world, and the strategic alliances concluded by the Russian federation, especially with China, played a supportive role for this approach, given that China, has the same orientation and desire to form a multipolar world, and the counterproductive results of western economic sanctions what was imposed on Russian, as a result of the military operations in Ukraine, proved the strength and solidity of the Russian strategy, which took into account that the economic factor is an essential element of the confrontation with Western countries, especially the United States of America.
