In light of the recent spread and increase in social media use, we wanted to write this research paper in order to find out how much university students are benefitting from social media sites and whether they are using it to connect with other foreign researchers of the same field of study for intellectual exchange.

In this study, we used the quantative method and distributed online surveys on different social media sites, and then analysed the data.
