Security has become one of the important issues that occupy Iraqi society as a whole as a result of recurring turmoil and crises that Iraq is witnessing and based on that security has become a demand for all Iraqis and issue of security awareness has become a societal issue that is not limited to security services and media only, but is the responsibility of everyone.

therefore, security awareness is the main pillar in the process of security construction, but it is not sufficient alone, as its construction requires ensuring many requirements related to the state, the most important of which is the necessity of adopting the democratic system of government, the principle of rule of law, creating economic, social and cultural conditions, and educating citizens on how to exercise their rights, in order to strengthen the sense of belonging to the homeland, and to ensure that citizens are immunized from dangers.
