Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to prepare a measure of mental alertness for the referees of the handball Premier League in Iraq and to identify the relationship between it and the decision-making of the referees of handball in Iraq , Research methodology and field procedures The researcher used the descriptive approach in the survey method and correlations to suit the research problem.

The researcher identified the research community, which was represented by the referees of the first degree in the Iraqi Handball Federation for the season 2021-2022, numbering (32).

The researcher chose all members of the community as a sample for research by 100 % Then the researcher divided the sample into exploratory (5) judges, and prepared the mental alertness and decision-making scales (30) judgments.

Then, after a period of three months, the researcher made the process of preparing the mental alertness and decision-making scales by using (31) judgments to apply the two scales to the research sample, including Known as the main experience, Conclusions: It was reached to prepare a measure of mindfulness for referees of the first degree in handball and a measure of decision-making for referees of the first class in handball, Recommendations: It is necessary to encourage and motivate the referees of volleyball first class, to develop programs and training and development plans for the referees that will develop and enhance the variables of the research, taking into account the periodic use of the standards placed in the research on the referees of handball.
