Abstract EN

Purpose the purpose of this study is to seek to identify the role of strategic development in building strategic security capabilities, and to propose new mechanisms aimed at enhancing the work of the Baghdad leadership from a strategic perspective to avoid the occurrence of any security and military failures.

design/methodology/approach-the study included qualitative analysis of data related to the leadership of the researched Baghdad operations in the capital, Baghdad under study.

the research sample included a sample of (108) officers in these operations, and the research sought to test a number of hypotheses related to the influence relationships between the research variables.

the data was processed by statistical methods using the program (SPSS).

the tools were analyzed using the statistical programs (spss.v.21), (amos.v.21).

findings the results of the statistical analysis of the data collected through the questionnaire tool prepared for this purpose, in addition to the theoretical conclusions, including the ability of Baghdad operations to build strategic security capabilities and overcome any military failure.

originality/value-this research contributes as an attempt to contribute to revealing the building of strategic security capabilities as a modern way to lead the investigated Baghdad operations to avoid the occurrence of security and military threats.
