Abstract EN

This study aims to extract the characteristics of women's entrepreneurship through the statistics of supportive institutions in Algeria.

for this purpose, we use the analytical method on the data of the ministry of industry on the support institutions for entrepreneurship.

we find that women's entrepreneurship is characterized by four features: (1) the tendency towards the service sector, liberal professions and handicrafts, (2) the preference for small loans and risk avoidance, (3) a continuous decrease in the number of projects from year to year and (4) a weak mobility and preference for stably projects.
