The Waqf holds great importance as it is considered the most significant financial worship benefiting a large segment of society on one hand and bringing its owner closer to Allah on the other.

therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to Waqf properties, preserve them, develop them, and invest them properly.

in this context, Algeria has been keen on providing all guarantees to protect these properties and ensure their optimal utilization for the benefit of worshipers and the country.

this was manifested through the establishment of the national office of endowments and zakat, which is considered a qualitative leap in the path of protection that the state is diligently seeking to provide for these properties.

hence, this study sheds light on the role of this office in managing these properties effectively, as well as the tasks assigned to it and its role in providing the necessary protection for this type of properties to restore their brilliance and serve as the locomotive driving the national economy forward.
