Abstract EN

This research deals with one of the contemporary Arabic dictionaries, which is the illustrated dictionary of al-Majani.

it is looked at in its contents to know the manifestations of renewal in it in terms of the quality of the selected vocabulary and the abundance of modern words and the scientific terms, and extraneous words, as well as the methods of explanation that the author follows in defining words, and illustrative examples that show the use of vocabulary in appropriate structures, and the linguistic benefits and non-linguistic information contained in this dictionary, and what distinguishes it from other dictionaries to demonstrate its scientific value.

with reference to some of the deficiencies that appear in any book and can be fixed or remedied in future new editions.
