Abstract EN

The digital economy is considered one of the most important issues raised on the international scene, especially in light of current technological developments, accordingly, this study aimed to clarify the most important concepts related to the digital economy, as well as introducing the network readiness index, which is considered one of the most important international indicators in measuring the extent of countries' readiness for the digital network and from there the projection on the reality of the digital economy in Algeria by presenting its most important actual applications and assessing the extent of Algeria's readiness to enter the digital economy based on the network readiness index for the year 2023, the results of our study concluded that, although Algeria has made great strides in adopting the features of the digital economy, it has not yet reached the required level and is still at the bottom of the rankings in the various indicators and pillars of the network readiness index.
