Abstract EN

The study aimed to develop and validate a scale for measuring soft skills among university professors.

for that purpose, a field study was conducted at the university center of Brika.

a convenient sample of 219 professors was taken to assess the necessary soft skills that could improve the job performance of university professors.

exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis were used to validate the scale.

the results concluded that soft skills consist of a multidimensional construct comprising communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills, time management skills, continuous learning skills, decision making and problem-solving skills as its dimensions.

the results of the confirmatory factor analysis also indicate the reliability and validity of the scale.
