This study studied the phenomenon of flirting with the masculine, as a manifestation of innovation in traditional poetic themes, in the ancient poetic heritage.

the study included examples of poetry from the Abbasid and Andalusian era in order to determine the features of this renewal, which reflects the extent of freedom from the restrictions imposed on it by the traditional poem system, and what it represents in breaking that state of stagnation.
