There are many legal problems about the possibility of establishing criminal liability for actions committed by smart robots that constitute a violation of the penal code, due to the absence of a legal text for the criminal accountability of smart robots.

therefore, the motive behind this study was to impose criminal liability provisions for crimes robots, by expanding the scope of criminal liability provisions for the actions of intelligent robots, with penalties commensurate with the nature of artificial intelligence technologies.

the jurisprudential debate still exists regarding the recognition of the legal personality of smart robots, as criminal jurisprudence is divided into two opinions on this subject, one of which envisages the application of provisions of criminal responsibility on them and the imposition of some traditional penalties on them, and the other opinion rejects this perception.

this study does not definitively hold smart robots criminally accountable, but rather it is an invitation to debate and put forward opinions, perhaps the near future will include its actions within.
