the problem of political legitimacy was the most prominent of these crises, stemming clearly from the decline in societal loyalty to the regime and its authority, and affecting the state's ability to impose its policies and perform its roles in a legitimate manner.

in light of ethnic diversity and the growing phenomenon military systems in African regimes, and illegal mechanisms took control of democratic mechanisms to reach and maintain power.

the gap between the ruling regimes and their people widened, which resulted in several negative repercussions in all fields, especially the fields of security and development, so that their levels declined to the extreme, and the African continent became a hotspot.
