The research aims to know the objective purposes in which the poets of Egypt organized in the Umayyad era, and to reveal the artistic and aesthetic features contained in that poetic discourse, and its role in it, and in addition to that, an indication of the impact of the Egyptian environment on the hearts of poets; This was reflected in their poetic performance; And that is through the study of a group of poems selected by the most prominent poets of that period.

The researcher adopted the descriptive approach to explain this.

The nature of the research subject necessitated that it be in four demands preceded by an introduction and a preface and followed by a conclusion, and then proven with sources and references.

The research concluded with several results, the most important of which are: The purposes addressed by poets in Egypt are traditional and nothing new, and praise was the most organized among poets, especially during the era of Abdul Aziz bin Marwan, to obtain the giving and generosity of the praised one.

And that there was abundant poetry in Egypt, but it was neglected, and no one took care of his narration and memorization, so most of it was lost, and only a few of it reached us.
