Abstract EN

This study aims to know the impact of the corona pandemic on the general budget in Algeria, as well as to know the financial policy mechanism used to deal with an economic situation that requires an increase in spending in light of a circumstance characterized by a decline in revenues.

this study concluded that the measures taken within the framework of financial policy in Algeria to deal with the crisis had a negative impact on the general budget, as public revenues declined in light of the government’s decisions related to tax exemption and postponement of tax collection, which coincided with a decrease in oil revenues due to the collapse of oil prices in the repercussions of the Covid-19 crisis, in light of the increase in public expenditures to contain the crisis, which resulted in the inability of public revenues to cover public expenditures, thus increasing Algeria’s general budget deficit.
