The current study aims to reveal the social values included in the learning section (family life) from the Arabic language textbook for the first year of intermediate school, and the extent to which they emulate the reality of Algerian family values.

It adopted the descriptive approach (content analysis) and the study concluded that the values included in the learning section under analysis did not closely mimic the reality of Algerian family values.
