This study aims to identify the general framework of the continuous improvement, and to highlight the extent of its contribution to achieving excellence in performance in university libraries.

We relied on the descriptive approach and used interviews, observation, and documentary research.

The results of the study revealed the need for university libraries to keep pace with modern developments in the field of information systems management.

By applying a continuous improvement process.

The study recommended paying attention to training librarians, providing them with the skills to use continuous improvement methods, tools, and providing all the material, financial and human components.
