Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the difficulties facing music education teachers of middle school to apply some of the concepts included in music education curriculum following competencies approach.

This work use descriptive approach and a questionnaire that was distributed to a sample of 68 music education teachers of middle level school, in order to detect the concepts of competencies approach which still ambiguous for these teachers.

The study concluded that a significant percentage of teachers did not understand neither the fundamental concepts of the competencies approach curriculum nor the ways to apply them.
