جماعة الرفاق هي مجموعة من الأطفال جمعتهم ظروف معينة وتجمعهم علاقات وطيدة، وهي بمثابة الأسرة الثانية التي يلجأ إليها كلما أحس بالحاجة إلى الحماية.
تكتسي جماعة الرفاق أهمية خاصة بالنسبة للطفل أو المراهق بالنظر لتأثيرها الكبير على النمو النفسي والاجتماعي للطفل أو المراهق الذي لا يشعر بمكانته الحقيقية إلا بين رفاقه، ويفوق هذا التأثير في الغالب تأثير الآباء والمدرسين.
فجماعة الرفاق تتبنى قيما ومعايير تشجع على عدم الانصياع لقوانين المجتمع، باعتبارها توفر له ارتياحا لممارسة السلوك الإنحرافي وممارسة السلوكيات العدوانية، حيث هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على جماعة الرفاق وعلاقتها بظاهرة العنف في الوسط المدرسي، حيث اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي الملائم لطبيعة الموضوع، وطبقت على عينة قوامها 80 فرد من الجنسين، وعولجت إحصائيا باستخدام برنامج (SPSS) النسخة رقم (22)، وقد توصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود علاقة وثيقة بين جماعة الرفاق وظاهرة العنف في الوسط المدرسي.
